Interesting Facts about Milton
•The Parish is made up of two villages: Milton village and Milton Heights.
•Milton has 213 young people aged 10-24 and is home to 1290 people overall (2011)
•Its original Saxon name is Middeltune because it’s situated in the middle of three villages (Sutton Courtenay, Drayton and Steventon).
•In 1832 a very fine Saxon Fibula, worked in gold and jewelled with garnets, was dug up and can now be seen in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
•Milton has two churches, a primary school, a public house and a football club.
•Milton is also home to Milton Park Industrial Estate (MEPC) which has a restaurant, a café, two shops, a post office, a gym and a pharmacy.
