Interesting Facts about Sutton Courtenay
•Sutton Courtenay is the second biggest DAMASCUS Village home to around 3000 people! ~400 of which are young people aged 10–24.
•Sutton Courtenay has two parks for children including a skate park and basketball court, a football club, a church, a primary school, a village hall, two local shops and four public houses!
•Sutton Courtenay has had many famous residents including Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter and ex-prime minister H.H. Asquith who is also buried in the church grave yard along with author George Orwell. Another interesting resident of the village are the wild peacocks – see if you can spot them!
•The River Thames runs through the village and has lots of beautiful walks.
•Keep an eye out for Westbrook – a small stream that children play in during the summer with a rope swing!
